Occupational First Aid Attendant

The Occupational First Aid Attendant is responsible for providing medical support and emergency care in workplace settings. This role significantly contributes to employee safety and well-being by managing health-related incidents, conducting first aid, and maintaining health records. The attendant collaborates with safety officers and human resources to promote a culture of health and safety. • •Emergency Response

  Provide immediate and effective first aid in emergencies, assessing patient conditions promptly and administering appropriate medical interventions as per the established protocols.

• •Incident Assessment

  Evaluate workplace incidents to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses, documenting findings accurately and ensuring all necessary records and reports are completed.

• •Medical Equipment Maintenance

  Regularly inspect and maintain first aid supplies and medical equipment, ensuring all items are stocked, functional, and adhere to safety regulations, replacing or replenishing as needed.

• •Training and Education

  Conduct training sessions and educational workshops for employees, promoting awareness and teaching essential first aid skills to enhance workplace safety and self-sufficiency.

• •Health and Safety Coordination

  Collaborate with health and safety teams to develop and implement effective safety strategies, participating in safety audits, meetings, and compliance initiatives.

• •Record Keeping

  Maintain detailed records of all first aid treatments and incidents on site, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy, and preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies.

• •Patient Transport Coordination

  Organize and coordinate the safe and swift transport of injured or ill employees to designated medical facilities, communicating accurately with external emergency services.

• •Hazard Identification

  Participate in the identification and mitigation of workplace hazards, advising management on potential risks and recommending safety improvements to prevent future incidents.

• •Certification in Occupational First Aid level 2 or higher.
• •Minimum of 2 years experience in a first aid or medical support role.
• •Proficiency in CPR and emergency response techniques.
