Cloud Architect
Role Overview
The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that align with the organization’s technical strategy and business goals. This role plays a critical part in advancing the company’s cloud capabilities, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Roles & Responsibilities
•Design Cloud Architecture
Develop and implement scalable cloud solutions, including infrastructure design, architectural frameworks, and cloud migration strategies, to meet business requirements and ensure performance optimization.
•Assess New Technologies
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and conduct feasibility studies to recommend advancements or changes to existing infrastructure, ensuring innovative solutions align with strategic objectives.
•Ensure Security Compliance
Enforce security best practices by implementing robust security controls and monitoring protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards like HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
•Collaborate with Development Teams
Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and optimize workflows for improved application delivery.
•Monitor Cloud Performance
Utilize advanced tools to monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics, proactively addressing issues to guarantee minimal downtime and optimize resources for cost management.
•Develop Disaster Recovery Plans
Design comprehensive disaster recovery strategies, including backup solutions and failover mechanisms, to ensure business continuity and data integrity during unexpected outages.
•Manage Vendor Relationships
Coordinate with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to negotiate contracts, evaluate service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure service delivery meets organization’s expectations.
Typical Required Skills and Qualifications
