As a Yoga Instructor, you will lead classes that enhance physical fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being for students of varying skill levels. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Class Planning

    Design, structure, and sequence yoga classes tailored to various skill levels, ensuring a safe and transformative experience for all participants promoting physical and mental well-being.

  • Student Assessment

    Evaluate students' physical capabilities and limitations to provide personalized guidance, adapting poses and sequences to meet individual needs and prevent injuries.

  • Demonstration and Instruction

    Clearly demonstrate poses, guiding students through each movement and breath work, ensuring correct alignment and technique are maintained throughout the class.

  • Safety and Well-being

    Monitor class participants for proper form and offer adjustments or modifications to ensure a safe practice environment while fostering a supportive class atmosphere.

  • Feedback and Encouragement

    Provide positive reinforcement, constructive feedback, and encouragement, helping students progress in their practice and achieve personal fitness and mindfulness goals.

  • Class Environment Management

    Ensure the yoga studio is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies, creating a welcoming and peaceful environment conducive to focus and relaxation.

  • Community Engagement

    Engage with the yoga community through workshops, events, and social media, promoting the studio’s programs and inspiring a wider audience to embrace a yoga lifestyle.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certified Yoga Instructor with a minimum of 200 hours of training
  • 2+ years teaching yoga in studio or community settings
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to yoga practice
  • Ability to modify poses for various skill levels and physical limitations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
