Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide Legal Advice

  • Draft and Review Contracts

    Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to minimize risks. Ensure all documentation accurately reflects the organization's interests and complies with legal standards.

  • Manage Legal Disputes

    Oversee and handle disputes and litigation processes, collaborating with external counsel as necessary. Develop strategies to resolve conflicts efficiently while protecting interests.

  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance

    Monitor and implement appropriate compliance strategies to adhere to applicable laws and regulations. Develop policies and procedures to align with evolving legal standards.

  • Conduct Legal Research

    Perform in-depth legal research to support case preparation, policy development, and decision-making. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and relevant legal precedents.

  • Legal Risk Management

    Identify, assess, and manage legal risks facing the organization. Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide training to ensure organizational awareness and preparedness.

  • Corporate Governance Support

    Assist in matters of corporate governance, including board meetings, resolutions, and compliance with corporate policies. Ensure adherence to ethical standards and legal obligations.

  • Maintain Legal Documentation

    Oversee the organization and updating of legal files and records. Ensure that legal documentation is accurate, current, and accessible to authorized personnel for decision-making.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Jurisdictions: Admitted to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience: 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
