Roles & Responsibilities

• Facilitate Group Therapy

  Conduct group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the group's needs, ensuring a safe and confidential environment for client discussions and interactions.

• Assess Group Dynamics

  Evaluate interpersonal dynamics and individual progress within the group, adapting facilitation strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes and foster a supportive group atmosphere.

• Develop Treatment Plans

  Create and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with other healthcare providers if needed, ensuring alignment with best practices and client-specific therapeutic goals.

• Document Client Progress

  Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client participation, progress, and treatment adjustments in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies and standards.

• Crisis Management

  Identify and address acute emotional or behavioral crises among group members, providing immediate interventions and coordinating additional support services as required.

• Continuous Professional Development

  Engage in ongoing learning to stay informed of advancements in group therapy methodologies, participating in workshops, training, and peer consultations to enhance skills and effectiveness.

• Collaboration and Communication

  Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and medical personnel, to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of treatment for all group members.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field

• Licensed as a psychologist, social worker, or counselor

• 2+ years of experience leading group therapy sessions

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience with a range of therapeutic modalities
