Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule Maintenance

  Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles to maximize uptime and minimize disruptions, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.

• Manage Repairs

  Coordinate and oversee repair activities, ensuring timely service from mechanics and external vendors, and evaluate repair quality for fleet vehicles to optimize operational efficiency.

• Inventory Control

  Monitor and maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs while optimizing costs through efficient procurement.

• Budget Management

  Prepare and manage the fleet maintenance budget, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to financial targets.

• Compliance Assurance

  Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle maintenance and safety standards, including record-keeping and regular audits of the fleet's upkeep.

• Team Supervision

  Supervise and provide leadership to maintenance staff, ensuring proper training, performance evaluations, and adherence to safety protocols to foster a high-performing maintenance team.

• Data Analysis and Reporting

  Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, predict vehicle issues, and develop actionable insights. Create regular reports on fleet performance and maintenance effectiveness for stakeholders.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fleet management or automotive maintenance.

• Strong understanding of vehicle repair, maintenance procedures, and diagnostics.

• Proficient in using fleet management software and tools.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to vehicle operations.
