Roles & Responsibilities

• Crop Health Assessment

  Conduct regular field inspections to assess crop health, identify pests or diseases, and recommend appropriate treatment solutions to ensure high yield and quality standards.

• Data Analysis and Reporting

  Collect, analyze, and interpret crop data using specialized software to monitor growth patterns and inform best practices for maximizing production efficiency and sustainability.

• Soil Management and Testing

  Oversee soil testing procedures to analyze nutrient levels, advising on necessary soil amendments to improve fertility and optimize growing conditions for diverse crops.

• Integrated Pest Management

  Develop and implement integrated pest management strategies that minimize chemical use by employing biological controls and alternative methods to protect crops effectively.

• Resource Optimization

  Advise on efficient use of water, fertilizers, and other resources through innovative techniques to support sustainable agricultural practices and reduce environmental impact.

• Farmer Education and Training

  Provide training and technical support to farmers on current agricultural practices, new technologies, and sustainable methods to enhance crop productivity and farm profitability.

• Research and Development

  Participate in research projects to develop new crop varieties or farming techniques, collaborating with institutions to bring innovative solutions to practical agricultural challenges.

• Compliance and Safety Standards

  Ensure all farming practices adhere to local and international agricultural regulations, focusing on maintaining safety, environmental standards, and certification requirements.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in crop management or agronomy

• Familiarity with agricultural technology and data analysis tools
