Construction Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Project Planning

  Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and compliance with standards.

• Site Supervision

  Oversee daily construction activities to ensure operations meet project specifications and safety standards. Manage on-site workforce and subcontractors for timely and efficient execution.

• Quality Assurance

  Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction processes and materials. Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations, addressing any non-compliance promptly.

• Budget Management

  Monitor and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures to ensure projects stay within financial limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities and report financial status to stakeholders.

• Technical Problem Solving

  Analyze and resolve technical issues that arise during construction. Use engineering expertise to evaluate problems, consider alternatives, and implement effective solutions swiftly.

• Safety Management

  Implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs on construction sites. Train and enforce compliance among workers to minimize risks and prevent accidents or legal issues.

• Client Communication

  Engage regularly with clients to update them on project progress and address any questions or concerns. Ensure that client requirements and expectations are consistently met throughout the project.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• 5+ years of experience in construction management or engineering

• Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools

• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
