Combat Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Construction and Demolition

  Plan and execute construction and demolition tasks, including building fortifications, bridges, and field defenses, ensuring structures meet safety and mission requirements.

• Mine Warfare Operations

  Conduct minefield clearance and planting operations, using detection and neutralization techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness in combat environments.

• Obstacle Breaching

  Implement breaching operations to overcome natural and man-made obstacles, employing explosives, tools, and engineering equipment to facilitate troop movement.

• Explosive Ordnance Disposal

  Perform explosive ordnance disposal tasks, identifying and neutralizing unexploded ordnance to ensure the safety of military personnel and civilian populations.

• Route Clearance Operations

  Lead route clearance operations to ensure safe passage for military convoys, employing specialized vehicles and equipment to detect and dispose of roadside threats.

• Equipment Maintenance and Management

  Maintain engineering tools and heavy equipment, ensuring operational readiness and conducting regular checks to minimize downtime and enhance equipment performance.

• Training and Instruction

  Conduct training sessions to educate military personnel on engineering tactics, equipment use, and safety procedures, enhancing team capability and mission success.

Typical Required Skills and Qualifications

• Completion of a Combat Engineer training program

• Previous military experience with 2+ years in an engineering role

• Familiarity with construction materials and demolition techniques

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
