Product Manager / Product Owner: An Overview
Product Management is the job of looking after a specific product within a business – a role at the very heart of an organization that needs to balance the need
to deliver value to your company (usually, profit) with what customers want and what’s technically and operationally possible.
Product Managers are responsible for setting a product vision, defining a product strategy and developing a roadmap that meets both company goals and user
- Team Coordinator – Communicating expectations, requirements, priorities, schedules, and roles.
- Business Owner – Making sure the product meets its goals.
- Product and Team Visionary – Inspiring those working on the product.
Product Managers have to lead with influence – by example and find ways to support and add value without having any team member actually report to them.
